That is a hard thing to learn but I'm not sure I believe *enduring* is the only response. There can be perverse delight and a few other things too, depending on what the "it" is. :)

ps. I am proud of her. She's just figured out that doing a good job and trying her best has to be its own reward. Yes, the world MIGHT reward us, but its just as likely to reward the bad behaviour from the cunning and experienced MMC.
So, she has to take her reward herself - and not hope for recognition or a pay rise etc.
Our knee is less painful today.
